Description
24 x 39 x 15 tall tall is standard, with four size options. Our tough 2kPoly tabletop finish helps it take the use of a living room low table.
While we make this coffee table in four sizes, they are all in the same relational proportions (a golden cube!).
This is a woodworkers piece of furniture. Not flashy in overall form, the proportions fit the old Hellenic golden mean in all three dimensions. All four sizes look oddly similar because they are all the same proportions based on the "Golden Mean". This is a deceptively difficult piece to build with all its joinery and stepped edges and is woodworker designed, full of subtleties which only a master furniture builder could create.
Detailing
is subtle but works together so that every day is a new discovery of proportions and fit, facets and curves. Note the mitered legs apron joint, the subtop and its profile which juxtaposes with the tops edge profile. the sculpting of the face of the aprons carrying through the leg shape, the dark inlay defining the panel from the frame...
The central panel is .25" thick saw cut wood which we join and lay up entirely at our shop allowing for full control of color and pattern. We then bond the wood to an immovable substrate before sanding down to a controllable .125".
Our furniture is priced as "Workshop/Showroom pickup or Bellingham delivery". Freight is dependent upon your zip code, weight/cube and service level.
